Revenue Manager - Edtech - SaaS

 

Role & Responsibilities include


  • Lead a team of billing specialists overseeing the complete order-to-cash cycle and accurate revenue reporting under relevant accounting standards.
  • Develop and analyze budgets and forecasts, generating insightful reports and collaborating across departments to optimize revenue processes and controls.
  • Drive organizational growth and scalability through initiatives that enhance revenue operations.
  • Manage billing, collections, commissions, and sales taxes.
  • Lead monthly revenue and accounts receivable close.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly management reports.
  • Build and maintain budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Manage customer database and handle disputes.
  • Serve as revenue subject matter expert and collaborate across teams.
  • Work with external auditors on revenue recognition and controls.
  • Manage and coach the revenue accounting team.
  • Support ad hoc projects and drive positive changes.

Your Experience and Skills


  • Business degree in accounting or finance (required).
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant revenue recognition standards (required).
  • CPA highly preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in accounts receivable, financial accounting, or budget and forecasting, with at least 3 years in revenue accounting and management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in revenue recognition, reporting, and forecasting (industry experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of order-to-cash processes and best practices.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate with the ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Team player with a flexible and positive attitude.
  • Sage Intacct (or similar), Salesforce, and advanced Excel are preferred
