Job Details
Collaborate with the CFO and Staff Accountant
Use your knowledge of accounting fundamentals
Train and learn the HUD's (Housing and Urban Development) processes
Data Entry, Journal Entries, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Reconciliations and Reporting
Work with automated processes using systems and tools
Project work
Required Skills
Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration OR similar.
Understanding of Accounting basics: Account types, basic journal entries, financial statement basics, etc.
0 - 2 years of work experience
Customer service skills
Critical thinking and the ability to investigate discrepancies
Organized and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Self-starter
Comfortable using MS Excel, Word, Office, File Sharing, and other systems
Eager to learn and grow into a more experienced accountant within the public sector
Ability to clearly understand and follow written and oral instructions
Nice to have Experience
Multi-tenant or public housing or similar
Proficiency in basic bookkeeping principles and practices
