Responsibilities
- Craft and implement a comprehensive financial strategy, optimizing asset allocation, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Oversee all accounting and financial administration functions, upholding Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal control frameworks.
- Design and implement effective policies for financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation, maximizing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Drive achievement of revenue targets, identifying growth opportunities and overseeing investment strategies.
- Guide loan and deposit rate setting, contributing to a balanced and sustainable financial profile.
- Prepare insightful financial reports and presentations for board members, executive management, and regulatory authorities.
- Lead the annual budgeting and planning process, aligning financial goals with strategic objectives.
- Advocate for financial literacy and responsible financial practices within the organization and community.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering an environment of trust and collaboration.
Qualifications
- At least 16 years of leadership experience in financial management, ideally within a credit union or similar.
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing effective financial strategies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, adept at influencing and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Passionate about serving the community and committed to ethical business practices.
- Masters in Accounting or Finance preferred
- CMA and/or CPA preferred
